spacer Sixty billion dollars ($60,000,000,000) is spent by americans every year on health and fitness and every year 83% of the people who spent that money don't see even a single result.  Not one!   Most of them did not hire a personal trainer or other professional fitness instructor.  The people below, however, did.  They dusted off their thighs, hired a personal trainer, and got it done right.

Testimonials...

In September 2001 I decided it was time to loose the weight I had put on over the past few years. I joined the gym and that is when I met my MAXVO2 fitness trainer and started my workouts and set my first goal. With the teaching of good nutrition and that eating more often and the right foods is a way to loose weight along with well-rounded workouts. My energy has improved, I’m stronger, I sleep better, and I can’t say enough about how my self-esteem has improved. By following the nutrition plan designed for my picky eating, I have now lost 60 pounds and a total so far of 56 inches over all (which is almost my height of 5’2”). I have 1 more goal to reach and I know I can do it with the guidance from my MAXVO2 fitness trainer and the workouts he keeps me doing. MAXVO2 can be tough, but at the end of the workout it is all for my benefit. I know I would never have lost this much weight on my own and I would recommend hiring a trainer to anyone that will listen and that is serious about wanting to loose the extra pounds or just wants to tone up and learn how to eat properly for life. I have learned so much from my personal trainer that I know I will never put the weight back on and I know that he is always there for good advice. Thanks MAXVO2.

~Debbie G.

When i first started i was shy and emabarrassed. MAXVO2 did very well at helping me feel comfortable. He helped me set realistic goals and gave me deadlines to obtain the goals by. When i started i was 150 at 25% body fat. The goal we set was to be in the athletic range for bodyfat. I am now 144 at 14% body fat. The athletic range for body fat starts at 16% body fat. I learned a lot of unexpected things while training with MAXVO2. I learned how to eat balanced meals, how to balance a meal, and the proper body mechanics for exercise. I am a whole new person now. I feel better through out the day, and i feel better about myself. One more thing... when i started trainging i had problems with being hyperglycemic. I don't have problems with it anymore. I learned how to eat to avoid those problems. I am ready to live healthy for the rest of my life!

I began training with my personal trainer in September 02. In the beginning, I had no other goal than to join in and support a co-worker who wanted to lose 10 lbs. prior to her son's wedding. Ater my first 6-week session I was losing weight and inches, gaining strength, and feeling great. I was sold. As an RN, I thought I knew all about healthy eating and exercise requirements. But working with my personal trainer has given me a new perspective on how to manage my eating, activity and weight. He provides teaching as well as training. His complete exercise and nutrition program is a medically sound, healthy lifestyle. As a result of following his advice, I have lost 50 lbs. and I am in better shape than I was 20 years ago. MAXVO2 is knowdgeable, professional, and caring, motivating and inspirational; and he doesn't let me get away with excuses. I am no longer in the vicious cycle of trying hard on my own, failing after a week or two, and feeling guilty and self-reproaching for not being able to stick to a plan. I follow an individual plan that my fitness trainer has set up for me that includes foods I like and will eat. I look forward to my workouts and experience tremendous stress relief. I've dropped from a size 16 (and then some) to a size 8. I have a new body, a new outlook, and shopping for clothes (even swimsuits) is fun again! I know many people who are trying various other solutions to their weight and body composition problems. Some are working very hard at it, but none have experienced the steady success that I have enjoyed-except those who have seen, heard, and joined me! Personal training has given me more than I could have imagined. Success is a true joy!

~Kris L.

I found fitness training with MAXVO2 gave me many positive things. I came to feel strong, physically strong. This was new and I found it very helpful when dealing with stresses that might have otherwise been more difficult to handle. I have lots more energy. I now workout on my own but with a reliable voice in my head that encourages me to keep going, eat in a reasonable way, and to value and "invest" my physical health for years to come. That's my plan.

~Carolyn D.

I have been training with MAXVO2 for well over a year. My goals were to lose weight, gain muscle and have more energy. I have achieved my goals, and set more. My body fat is now in the athletic range, something I never had before! I am 51, and feeling much younger! I have lost 35 pounds and now wear size 8-10 clothes. I have kept this weight off for over 2 years now. Teaching takes a great deal of energy, and before training began I was dragging through my days. Now I look forward to going to work and to my workouts. Yes, it is hard, they really pushes you to do more than you think you can. It is fun to increase weights to levels you never thought you would reach. I also sleep better now that I am working out regularly! If you toss and turn, try training! Getting your individual food plan is great too. You learn to eat many small meals, and make healthy choices. Your body really gets used to eating this way, and it is not hard to maintain. I have learned that eating right gives you the energy you need to exercise. The more muscle you get, the more you have to eat to maintain it! Fun! Trianing is a great investment in your health, and your furture, I highly recommend it!

When my husband retired, we joined a gym and hired a MAXVO2 certified trainer. I had gained 20 excess pounds and was in the obese category. At age 56 I was depressed by my inability to lose weight after failed diet attempts (Adkins was just one) and was concerned about health risks and limits of being physically out of shape. I began training in March 2003 and found that I was able to stick to the nutrition plan MAXVO2 outlined. I consistently made healthy menu choices based on the nutrition facts he taught. The reward was the difference in the way my clothes fit and losing 15 pounds, which put me and into "normal" range when measured for body fat. The arthritic pain I often had in my fingers and wrists disappeared due to increased blood flow as a result of exercising. Also discomfort from a childhood injury to my clavicle disappeared after six months of upper-body strength training. Another benefit of training for me, a five foot tall woman, is that the risk of osteoporosis for smaller women is greatly reduced by weight-bearing exercise. Recently, I qualified for a better life insurance rating that only 33% of applicants achieve. I not only saved $520 a year, but increased the coverage by $50K. I couldn't have gotten that low rate without losing 15 pounds and decreasing my blood pressure - thanks to my fitness trainer! MAXVO2's expert teaching and guidance have given me confidence that I can keep the weight off and continue living the healthy lifestyle that I so much desire. Now at age 57 I have renewed vitality and zest for work and leisure activities. I compliment them on their fine teaching methods, his patience, and professionalism. He's a great role model!

In January 2003, I actualized a birthday gift that I had chosen to give myself the previous October. I retired! At the same that I decided to retire after 38 years in public education (teacher/site administrator/district administrator), I also made a decision that I wanted to lose weight and physically firm up. In March 2003, my wife and I agreed that it would be good for both of us to become physically fit and we jointly acted upon those goals by signing up with Matt Stauts at MAXVO2. What a difference MAXVO2 has made in my life! I could not have done it on my own or without regular and caring direction or support. I have gone from a top (yuk) weight of 197 to a recent (August 2003)178. I have lost and gained inches where appropriate. Now, when standing, I can look down at my feet and really see them. As a result of my personal trainer's guidance, I have visited George at Master Tailor here in Hemet who has altered many pairs of pants and bermuda shorts for me. It's a great feeling to have to get clothes altered. It is also so WONDERFUL to walk into a room where there are folks whom I have known for years. They immediately comment on my improved body appearance. Thanks to my personal fitness trainer, I am eating much better and have lost the craving for second and third helpings at meal time and lost the desire to "pig out" on snacks and desserts. I have become more aware of the importance of avoiding soft drinks and substituting water (a gallon a day) for them. What makes MAXVO2 so special is his OUTSTANDING personality and genuine desire to help people do what is right to get and stay healthy. He takes his excellent interpersonal relationship skills and blends them effectively with his knowledge of physiology, anatomy, "foodology" (my term), and physical fitness training. He "walks his talk" and helps other committed individuals do the same. Although I am nearly 61 years old, I feel, after each session with MAXVO2, more like I did when I was in my 20's and 30's. I feel physically, mentally, and emotionally terrific. Thank you, MAXVO2, for making my physical fitness birthday gift to myself so meaningful. It has turned out to be one of those "gifts" that continues to be fruitful on an on-going basis. I have lots of confidence that what you have done with me has put me on the right track for a much happier and healthier retirement. You requested people give you a rating on a scale of 1-10. Matt Stauts, you are beyond 10. I gave you a 99 because your computer program won't accept a three digit entry. By giving you the highest possibly rating your computer will permit, I am saying that you are the greatest! I unequivically urge others to work with MAXVO2 so they can achieve what he has made possible for me and feel good about themself, too.

'Exercise! I dont need to excercise.' Thats what I said when my two daughters gave me four sessions with a personal trainer for fathers day at the local gym. It took my wife a couple of months to finally get me to go. I signed up with MAXVO2 stauts for two sessions a week for 4 months after my father's day gift. That was august 2002. My health has improved dramatically much to the delight of my doctor. I'm a type ii diabetic, who with medication was not able to control my bloodsugar, cholesterol or triglycerides untill i added "excercise" to my life. For the first time in many years my blood test results have been normal. I feel so much better, more engery, able to move better. Do I think excercise works? Yes I do. I credit my improved health to Matt Stauts at MAXVO2 Fitness Trainers.

My MAXVO2 fitness trainer has been a wonderful trainer and friend. He puts up with me on good days and bad, I am not sure how but he does. I am what you would call a work in process, In the last year I have lost 46 pounds and 31 inches over all. My body fat has dropped 8% and I am healthier than I have ever been in my life. MAXVO2 is not only working on my body but my mind as well to help me realize that I can reach any goal and to have a more positive attitiude. He has his work cut out for him. I have learned how to eat healthier and all that fast, fried food that I used to think tasted so wonderful doesnt even taste good to me anymore. I like healthy food now more than ever. I still have a little more to go before I am done but with my trainer's patience and my perseverance I know I will suceed. They are always positive and encouraging even on those weeks when I am dispapointed because I didnt loose as much as I wanted. I would recomend MAXVO2 to anyone who wants to get in shape because THEY ARE THE BEST!

In my youth, I considered myself pretty active. I was never thin, but I was healthy. I ran or jogged a lot and even entered several 5 and 10K races and was pleased with my results. Somewhere along the way, after 22 years of marriage, 3 pregnancies, career changes, schooling and the hectic activities of my kids, I realized I was no longer exercising. I felt flabby, sluggish and irritatable. Of course, I blamed my exercise problem on lack of time. I decided to start walking my dog and would walk several times a week for 3-4miles each time, but wasn't feeling much better. It was too easy to find something to do at home. Around the same time, I noticed two coworkers who had started fitness training with Matt. They were having success in losing both weight and inches, but most notably they were really happy and having fun with their exercise and nutrition program. I considered whether this would work for me and committed myself to begin in the summer when I knew I could make time. My goals in starting the program were primarily to renew my energy and to become stronger. I never wanted to be a frail, old lady. Weight loss was only a secondary goal for me. I have completed 2 6 week sessions in which I have lost about 8 pounds, reducing my body fat from 22% to 18%. In retrospect, when I consider my emotional health at the start of the program, I think I was somewhat depressed. And this is the best part of training with Matt- I feel so much better and stronger, not just physically, but mentally. I have frequently joked with him that training with Matt is better than an antidepressant! I look forward to my appointments with him. Matt is funny, inspirational, and certainly knowledgeable and competent. I have learned a great deal over the past 3 months related to nutrition and exercise. My diet has been effective, yet simple to prepare and comprised of foods I actually like and will eat. I especially have learned what my body is capable of doing. Matt will always push you to your limit (never say "can't"), but not in an unsafe range. It is worth every dollar and every hour to begin a fitness program with a personal trainer like Matt, for I am accomplishing in a short period what I was not able to do on own. I believe the results will be permanent, and the compliments from others are pretty nice, too.

Exercising at MAXVO2 is a blast! I have lost inches and body fat. The nutrition recommendations are do-able and I always feel encouraged. I feel strong, healthy, and more youthful.

When I first started training, I was on three different medications for depression. I am now down to two. I was also using medication for my stomach. I no longer take that medicine. I lost 21/2 inches around my waist. 1 1/2 inches around my stomach. It is now half the size of when I started. I was given excellent advice on nutrition by Jenny. All the staff is kind and professional. I won the 3rd prize for women in a contest that I participated in . My trainer was Chris. She is wonderful. I owe her so much. I did not realize how much being overweight affects my self esteem. I would reccommend these people to everyone. I hand out their cards. They changed my life. Thank You, Thank You , Thank you!

~Vicki S.

Before I started at MaxVO2, I had never lead an active lifestyle. I always kind of wanted to, but lacked the initiative to follow through with working out and eating right on my own. I began working with Jenny in June, and started noticing changes rapidly. After completing 12 weeks of training, I have lost nearly 7% body fat, gone down two dress/pants sizes, and can run 1 1/2 miles, surpassing my goal of running one mile - prior to this summer, I had never run more than 1/4 of a mile without stopping. I, who have never considered myself to be athletic, am now in the athletic body fat range! But besides the physical changes, which naturally make me very happy, I feel that I have been very well educated about fitness and nutrition. I learned so much from Jenny and Kris. They helped me to set reasonable goals for myself and make actual lifestyle changes. I am now healthier than I have ever been before in my life, and it feels great! I had also been intimidated by the "gym scene", so the one on one attention at MaxVO2 was perfect for me. Everyone there is friendly and encouraging, and they really helped to motivate me. I enthusiastically recommend MaxVO2 to anyone and everyone who wants to improve their physical fitness. I could not be happier with my experience there!

I used to eat 4 bags of M&M's, and 4 beers (at least) every day. I was a real couch potato. I wanted to look better and especially feel better, but wasn't willing to make the changes needed. I actually thought that being out in the sun and getting a tan would make it better. I guess we tell ourselves anything to avoid what we don't want to do. When I came to MAXVO2 I weight 256.2 pounds at 29% body fat. My trainers at MAXVO2 pushed me and helped me reach all my goals (and faster than planned, too). I am now at 8.9% body fat! I lost 55 pounds of body fat and gained 13 pounds of muscle! I lost 32 inches off my body. I thought I could do all this on my own, but I never did. MAXVO2 pushed me harder, and taught me more than I could have ever done on my own. I got lots of insentive from them. Now I exercise regularly, and so far don't have any trouble maintaining my weight. The biggest thing is that I feel better not just physically, but about myself. I gained self esteme and am not afraid to take my shirt of anymore. I have a boat and love to go to the river. I really made my boat look bad before I came to MAXVO2. Now I don't shame the boat anymore!

After hitting my 50th birthday milestone, I knew I had to get serious about losing weight. I had been obese since childhood, and morbidly obese for the last 20 years. I had tried everything. I was now seriously contemplating weight-loss surgery, something I had considered as a last resort. In fact, I was in the process of trying to get insurance approval for the surgery when I started at MaxVO2. This has been the best decision of my life. I have finally found an eating and exercise program that I can live with for the rest of my life. And in the long run, that’s what everyone needs. Short-term fixes are just that-they work for the short term and then the problem returns when you return to your previous habits. There are no crazy pills or silly food restrictions. I’m eating real food. But my food choices have improved. I now eat foods that fill me up, and that’s the key to my success. I am not hungry. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not perfect! I still get cravings for things that aren’t good for me. But the key is to just get back on track. Don’t beat yourself up. It’s what you do over the long haul that makes a difference. And I’ve learned to love exercise. Sweating in a gym was never my idea of a good time. I like the custom programs that they create for me. I’m not doing the same thing week after week. Who would have thought I could do a push-up! I am still losing weight, gaining muscle, and feeling great. I have been with MaxVO2 for 18 months and found them to be extremely motivating with none of the “craziness” of the latest fads. Thanks MaxVO2. You saved my life!

~Robin H.

I have been going to MAXVO2 for about a year. I have lost about 75 pounds and over 40 inches. I went from the obese category to athletic. My waist size has gone from 38 to 32, and my neck size from 18 to 14. Since going to MAXVO2, I have been much more active. I've climbed mountains, participated in my first triathlon, gone mountain bike riding, experienced adventure races, a muddy buddy race, and plan on running my first marathon. It was surprisingly easy to get to where I am. To be successful only requires doing exactly what the professional trainers tell you to do. I am proof of that. I highly recommend these trainers for getting the results you want.

~Peter E.

About three years ago I lost about 16 pounds with the low-carb fad. Once I lost the weight, I found myself struggling to keep it off. I would try to eat low-carb during the week and by the weekend I felt so deprived I would indulge in whatever I wanted. I gained about 8 of the 16 pounds back. During this time, I constantly felt tired and didn't have the energy for exercise. In March 2006, I got to a point that I was tired of this cycle. I heard about Maxvo2 from a friend and called. I was on the way to my appointment and almost chickened out. I heard it was tough - and I honestly didn't know if I had the will power to do what it took to get fit and feel good. I decided to see what they had to say ---and I am so grateful that I did. I have lost 18 pounds, over 20 inches, and almost 2 pant sizes (from a size 8/10 to a 4/6). I feel great about how I look and feel. I have never eaten so healthy before in my life! And believe it or not - I now enjoy it! I am a very busy working mom who also goes to school full time. If I can do it, I think that anyone can. Maxvo2 provides an atmosphere that is comfortable and friendly. They encourage open, honest communication. If I made a mistake with my nutrition, I got encouragement instead of disappointment from the trainer. In turn, in made me even that much more motivated to stay with my program. The trainers know what they are talking about. They are educated, professional, and truly want a healthy lifestyle for their clients. They thoroughly educate you on nutrition, weight training, and overall health. They give you viable options to help you succeed with your program. Was it hard? Yes. Did it get easier as I went along? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I would never train with anyone else. I have total trust in Maxvo2. Thanks!

~ Kim R.

At MAXVO2 I get the Professional Training that I needed to help push myself to become a great athlete in softball. Without the help of my personal trainer to push me I would not have achieved an award for breaking the overall homerun record at Hemet High. The support and strength training that I have received at MaxVO2 has also helped me achieve the physical training to be at the top of my game not only in softball, but my overall life and every aspect of it. Thank you MAXVO2..I would not look and feel the way I do without each and everyone of your support.
