How long does it take to lose weight?
A healthy weight loss rate is about 2.2 pounds per week. What is meant by
healthy is that your weight loss is comming from fat not muscle and you are not
damaging your metabolism. The successfull client operates at a rate of about
100 pounds of pure fat per year. We've also scene people lose 30 pounds in
6 weeks (they did lose some muscle, however). You can expect Plateaus that
could last from a few days to several weeks. This is the time you need professional
program manipulation. |
How long does it take to gain muscle?
This is a difficult question. Your genetics play a huge roll as well as your
gender. There are other factors like how long have you been training, have
you lifted weights before, etc.. Lets just say this: without using illegal
steroids, working out like an olympic athlete, and eating all the right things at
all the right times, you may be able to gain 15 or 20 pounds in a year. For
the average person exercising without professional program tracking and manipulation,
you can expect at the most a few pounds in a year and then to level off.
So blaming the lack of change in the scale on muscle gain will work for about 1-2
weeks for most people. |

how much do i need to work out?
This depends on your goals. Scheduling a
Free Consultation
with a certified trainer can better help with that. For goals like weight
loss (if a healthy nutrition plan is implemented) 2-3 days a weeks is usually enough.
That is what most of our clients do. Sometimes assignments are given for them
to do on their own. Working out more than 5-6 days a week can lead to over
training and health issues will arise. However, this all depends on the intensity
levels. |
Do you help obese people with weight loss
Of course! We take clients ranging from kids to seniors with goals ranging
from weight loss to athletics. Most of our clients are here to lose weight.
It is a very comfortable environment for an obese individual. But remember
we are not going to let you get away with any excuses, so leave them at home.
In fact, just throw them away you don't need them anymore. |
she doesn't need weight loss help, she's skinny!
Interesting question we get all the time. Have you considered that they are
skinny becasue the work out and they have a trainer to stay that way. Many
of our clients come to us for life. We also have clients coming to us to gain
weight. And remember we train athletes also. If you haven't done so

Will I have the same personal fitness trainer each time?
If you want. Sure. You may have a gender preference or a personality preference.
Our trainers do, however, work as a team and you can schedule an appoinmtent with
any of them at any time. You will never "belong" to a specific trainer and
have to worry about hurting someone's feelings if you train with a different trainer.
Our trainers are all on the same page and work as a team. This alows you more freedom
in your schedule to make sure you get your workouts in each week. That is much more
important than the ideal trainer. Many of our clients just train with whoever
is available. They are the one's that always get there weekly workouts done
and usually have the best success. But feel free to have a preference and
schedule only with that trainer or whenever you can. It's really up to you.
If you're not going to work out at all if you don't have a certain trainer than
please, please get that trainer! |
Am I too old to exercise?
No such thing, silly. |
How young do your personal fitness trainers work with?
Children younger than 12 are taken on a case by case basis. The best thing
is for you to do the learning and implement things for them on their own.
Kids have plenty of time to ride bikes, play sports, run around the park, climb
trees, etc... They need to be fed better and that starts with the parent or guardian.
Duo & Trio Fitness Training
is a great option. The parent trains along side the child and the child hears
the trainer (not the dumb ole' parent) saying what both of you are suppopsed to
do. The child is often more likely to follow the instructions when they come
from us and not you (you know how kids are - remember when you were one?). If

Do you tell me what to eat for healthy weight loss?
It is actually hard for us to resist addressing your nutrition even if you have
asked us not to to...so yes, we will tell you what to eat. But it is more
like working with you to educate you and create a plan that you will follow. We
often get you started with a general nutrition plan and customize it as needed.

What are your personal trainer's qualifications?
Each trainer and/or instructor is certified by an accredited national agency outside
of MAXVO2, as well as being CPR and First Aid certified. So what! Who cares!
So is every other certified personal trainer. Unfortunately there is no regulation
on the fitness industry and the titles they can give themselves. We worry
more about how our clients look then our titles. So just call us fitness and
nutrition coaches, or simply "trainers" if you will please. What makes us
different? Well, without giving away too much information to the MAXVO2 copy-cats,
lets just say this: MAXVO2 trainers are trained beyond their certification
or their college degree. Before a certified trainer can become a MAXVO2 trainer
they must endure MAXVO2's training program and reach the MAXVO2's standards. Our
trainers techniques are reliable, consistent, and will endure the test of time.
A MAXVO2 trainer's career is a never ending journey of knowledge and growth all
focused on the realization of your goals. |
